Idolatry
Obviously, there is a drastic difference in the way idolatrous practices are dealt with in the New Covenant from the Old. None of the Apostles promoted smashing idols or burning down Asherah poles. But upon what exactly was this change based? Until I figure that out I cannot rightly move it to the mahleh section.
1. Idolatry must be destroyed. (Deuteronomy 12:2-4)
2. A city which turns to idolatry (the worship of false gods) must be treated according to the Law. (Deuteronomy 13:12-18)
3. The idolatrous nations (nations who worship false gods) will be destroyed. (Deuteronomy 20:17)
4. We must blot out the remembrance of idolaters (those who worship false gods). (Deuteronomy 25:19)
5. Remember what the idolaters (those who worship false gods) did to Israel. (Deuteronomy 25:1-18)
